This piece is inspired by the beautifully emotional poem ‘Two-Headed Calf’ by Laura Gilpin.
Made with Aventurine Blue glass which shimmers stunningly in the light (and under flash, which I used for these photos!).
The moment I saw this glass, I knew it’d be perfect for ‘twice as many stars as usual’, truly filling the sky areas with tiny stars.
I’ve also used Pebeo glass paints for all of the details, including a few well-known constellations in the sky to really emphasise the star count.
Framed in a lead came border and finished with black patina & graphite polish for dark & shiny finish.
Measurements: 11.5 × 11.5 inch approx. Complete with black jack chain for hanging.
